GENERAL PASSENGER INFORMATION

Ticketing:

Your Ticket is issued subject to our regulations and IATA General conditions of Carriage of Passengers and Baggage. These conditions are available in Kenya Airways Offices and extracts can be found in your ticket.

Your travel requirements:

Any Kenya Airways or Travel Agent's Office will gladly advise you of requirements for your journey. Please ensure that all your documents (Passport, health certificates etc.) are in order prior to commencement of your journey.

Stop overs:

You may break your journey at one or more places en-route and retain the benefit of the throughfare, except where precluded by government regulations or on some Excursion Fares, provided notice is given before commencing the journey.

Baggage allowance:

Free allowance for each adult and child paying half fare is:

  • First Class 40 kilos

  • Premier Club Class 40 kilos

  • Economy Class 23 kilos

In addition to the free allowance, the following may be carried free of charge: a lady's small handbag, an overcoat, wrap or blanket, an umbrella or walking stick, a small camera, a pair of binoculars, infants' food for consumption en-route, an infant's carrying basket and a reasonable amount of reading material for the flight.

Important Baggage Notice:

    Safety regulations require that:

    1. Articles such as inflammable liquids, corrosives, compressed gases or matches
MUST NOT BE PACKED IN BAGGAGE.

    2. Carry-on baggage and related personal belongings are limited to items that can be stowed under the passenger's seat.

Inflight Service:

Most Kenya Airways flights offer a combination of first Class, Premier Club Class and Economy Class service. Meals and refreshments are served as appropriate on all Kenya Airways flights. Our inflight attendants are at your service through your journey.

Latest Check-in Times:

On your ticket, you will find the latest check-in time. This is the time by which passengers must have presented themselves and their baggage at the airline desk and have been accepted for the flight. Remember to reconfirm your Latest Check-in Time prior to the departure date.

Recommendations:

Let us know your contact address or telephone number up to departure time. Save time by purchasing all tickets for your journey before departure. Your authorised Kenya Airways Travel Agent is there to help and offer you complete trip planning advice at no extra cost.

Book your hotel accommodation at the destination well in advance and reconfirm your hotel reservation at the destination airport.

Essential articles needed during the flight should remain in your carry-on luggage as baggage checked-in prior to departure is generally not available until claimed at your destination.

Always carry your passport, health certificates, valuables and currency with you, not in your baggage.

Check the "Message Board" on arrival. If friends are meeting you, give them your flight number.

Important:

It is important that you confirm your return or onward reservations at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure. Early reconfirmation assures you of your return seat.
